Does CBD make you high?

CBD’s decriminalisation and clinical down-scheduling has been rapid and has led to a very sharp rise in the availability of products and a proliferation of information on the internet.

As a result, there is a lot of conflicting information flying around about CBD. One of the biggest questions people have is, “will CBD make me high?” Parents worry that giving CBD to their children or pets or taking it themselves at work may affect their ability to perform tasks or pose a health risk.

Health and science resource Mondaq is urging clarity on the terminology. They say that CBD is in fact still considered ‘psycho-active’ as it does alter mood and emotion but that the effect is mild and positive. Instead they are urge the public to make another distinction; CBD is non-intoxicating, meaning that taking CBD does not result in a state of altered consciousness or any state that effects the individuals ability to function and there are no significant changes to personality and behaviour. So while CBD may put you in a better mood, you will still be able to do the crossword, file your tax returns and drive a car. And you may enjoy doing all of that just a little bit more.
