Could CBD supercharge your meditation?

Many meditation studios are now selling or promoting CBD oil as a good way to calm the body ahead of a meditation session but this approach is getting mixed reviews from purists. People are often too stressed to find their way onto a meditation mat much less actually engage with the practice. Taking CBD may set the scene, but CBD is known to have different effects on different people, with some feeling more energised and others more relaxed.

Added to which CBD may take a little while to work so taking it less than an hour before may have zero impact on a meditation session – and there are multiple other factors that can influence the way that CBD is processed. However, some master meditation facilitators believe that meditation should be practiced without additional additives as the goal of the practice is being able to find stillness and manage the mind. If it makes the difference between showing up to try meditation and not showing up at all, CBD, it seems, is welcome in the world of mindfulness.
