The kind of sports you watch may say something about how likely you are to be using CBD or marijuana. These were the findings of a 2020 poll by Morning Consult were shared in the Marijuana Moment. The study looked at the habits of sports fans who watch on TV or a computer.
ESports watchers were found to be the biggest group of users with 35 percent of fans saying that they smoke or ingest marijuana often or sometimes, while 29 percent said they used CBD. By contrast just 20% of golf fans use marijuana and 19% CBD but the PGA is one of the few sports that permits CBD sponsorships.
