You may remember U.S. women's soccer co-captain Megan Rapinoe for her epic victory speech during the World Cup victory parade in New York City on July 10, 2019. According to a story in The Independent, Rapinoe is one of many athletes who are using CBD to manage injury pain. Rapinoe had a long history of knee troubles after she tore her anterior cruciate ligament in both knees during college. She turned to CBD to manage and heal from these injuries and now includes CBD oil in her daily routine for its contribution to her overall wellbeing, she says, “it’s kind of the secret sauce”. Megan’s sister has even started a CBD oil business aimed at supporting athletes.
