A January 2019 Consumer Reports survey in the USA polled 4,000 CBD users and discovered that 47% of them had switched to CBD in place of common over the counter medications for a variety of symptoms. 36% of those sampled said they were replacing an opioid medication and 33% were replacing anti-anxiety medications. Of the people who participated in the survey, 30% took CBD in addition to their prescription medication but some 22% reported that they had replaced their medication with CBD.
Since 2019, the industry is predicted to grow at compound annual growth rate of 22% off the back of a swelling appetite to try CBD as a real solution; one that comes from the plant medicine cabinet.
