How long do the effects of CBD last?

May 5, 20211 min read

While CBD works on a subtle level and the effects may take time to build up in the body, the direct impact of CBD varies according to individuals, the quality of the CBD and the method by which it is taken. If you are eating or drinking your CBD through edibles, you can expect the effects to last for 4-6 hours, and this is similar to taking a capsule or sublingual (by mouth) oil, which will last anywhere from 1-4 hours but will be faster-acting than ingestion.

Topical creams and lotions are slower to act (it may take as long as 2 hours to feel the effects) but will last for over 5 hours, making this the longest lasting but method of taking CBD.
