Some doctors suspect that migraines are caused by a deficiency in one of the human body’s endocannabinoids.
Plant cannabinoid CBD interacts with the bodies endocannabinoids to create balance and optimal efficiency but while some studies have shown proven reduction in migraine occurrence as a result of a combined dose of CBD and THC, there is no study on the effects of CBD alone.
CBD alone has however been proven to reduce pain which does provide relief to migraine sufferers and may reduce their dependency on the opiate-based medicines. More research may provide promising answers
