Cannabis Hopes for Skin Cancer Sufferers

Cannabinoids have been found to play a positive role in shrinking tumors caused by skin cancer – one of the most common and the deadly of cancers affecting humans but one that can be effectively treated and controlled. A study out of the International Journal of Molecular Sciences found that in vivo testing on mice treated with cannabis reported significant shrinkage while another 2019 study from the Journal of Surgical Research showed that CBD’s effectiveness at shrinking tumors or preventing them from growing further was second only to chemotherapy drug cisplatin – but without the serious side effects.
