Can you give CBD to cats?

May 6, 20211 min read

Cats are known for having their fair share of ailments and are particularly sensitive to big environmental changes or becoming stressed out by other cats and animals in the neighbourhood. CBD is safe to give to cats but it is important to use CBD oils developed specifically for pets to ensure there are no THC elements (the compound of the cannabis plant that makes you ‘high’) and that it is prepared in a carrier oil appropriate for animals. In particular, cats could benefit from CBD if you are moving house or if they are experiencing other anxieties.

CBD is also an effective treatment for cats who are in pain or discomfort. It is particularly effective for arthritis and can also be used to treat cat epilepsy.
