Can CBD Hold Back the Aging Process?

January 29, 20211 min read

CBD is increasingly being added to a range of skin products. Is it all hype or is there a real reason to take a look at CBD for your skin routine? CBD has been found to be an anti-oxidant; one of the key ingredients in preventing or slowing aging and a very important factor in controlling disease. A study published by the US National Library of Medicine showed that, “CBD, like other antioxidants, interrupts free radical chain reactions, capturing free radicals or transforming them into less active forms”.

Topical application of anti-oxidants has also been found to be more effective than taking them in vitamin form when treating sun damage. Sounds like a good reason to add CBD into your skin-care plan!
