Big Companies Continue to Invest in CBD and Hemp

May 16, 20211 min read

Drinks giant and Coca-Cola rival PepsiCo has launched a hemp-infused drink in Germany. Rockstar Energy was acquired by PepsiCo for $3.8 million and has now launched the infused drink. Available in three flavours with an “intense” hemp flavour, the take home drink contains hempseed extract, caffeine and taurine and is currently only available in Germany.

PepsiCo is already flirting with natural infusions. Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of New York distributes a CBD-infused seltzer in grocery stores and have also launched a drink called Driftwell which aids sleep with extracts of L-theanine and magnesium to aid peaceful sleep.
