You may be tempted to add a drop of CBD to your favourite cup of tea? Looks good, sounds good, right? But it’s probably going to be a waste of some perfectly good CBD oil – here’s why. CBD is not water-soluble, which means it floats on the top of water and will often cling to the sides of the container that the liquid is in. In other words, it will cling to the cup and go down the drain with the dishwater.
And when we are dosing on CBD, it’s all down to bioavailability, which is the term for the amount of effective ingredient within any given dose. There are now some water-soluble CBD products on the market so if you want to put your CBD into your tea, you would need to source one of those to ensure it’s going to do it’s job! For now, make your favourite brew and keep your CBD on the side.
