American’s Share their Top Reasons to Use CBD

March 26, 20211 min read

Who uses CBD and why? A 2019 Gallup poll revealed that 20% of young adults (younger than 30) claimed to use CBD but by age 65 only a small percentage were using it (8%). It emerged that the overwhelming reason (40% of the people polled) identified for the use of CBD in the USA was pain. This was followed by anxiety at 20% and sleep problems or insomnia at 11%.

It is probably time for a new poll too. Covid has changing the way we live and researchers report a general uptick in the use of CBD to manage anxiety, boredom and stress associated with lockdown. The fact that CBD has also been identified as a viable medication to reduce inflammation in the lungs during and post-Covid has also piqued the attention of the scientific community as CBD is slowly welcomed into mainstream medicine.
